Excursions/Incursions
As an introduction to the Term 4 Unit of Work – Natural Disasters – students attended an excursion to both Melbourne Museum and IMAX to see the ‘A Day in Pompeii’ exhibition and Volcanoes – ‘Ring of Fire’ documentary. Both these opportunities provided curriculum links to History, Geography, English, Science, Mathematics and ICT. It was a truly wonderful opportunity for the senior students of Killara Primary School.

You Can Do It!
PERSISTENCE is the YCDI focus for this term. These lessons are designed to emphasise to students that for them to be successful in any endeavour, they will have to do things that are not easy or fun. ‘Giving effort’ and ‘working tough’ are features of this topic as is ‘taking responsibility for their learning and actions’.
